Makenna's 6

Wow! Makenna turned 6 today. I can't believe how fast time goes and how quickly my kids are growing up. It feels like yesterday that I was pregnant with her thinking that she would never come into this world (she was three days late....ahhh that was awful). Now she is already six and going to be in first grade. It makes me sad to think that my little girl is growing up. Before I know it she will be going to college.

She has been wanting an American Doll for a really long time. I kept telling her that they were expensive and I didn't know if we would be able to get one. All along I was planning on buying one for her birthday. You should have seen the look on her face when she opened the box and found a Just Like You doll that really did look just like her including earrings. She LOVES it. She also got some new clothes, a huge coloring book, a note pad and a Pixie Hollow jewlery box.

We started the day by making her breakfast and delivering it to her in bed. Then we went and picked up her birhtday cake and went to swimming lessons. I took her to lunch then to the salon to get her hair done and her toe nails painted. She was smiling the whole time. She definately felt like a princess. After that we took Brandon to swimming lessons. She loves steak and wanted to go to Texas Road House for dinner so our family along with Aunt Becky, Zack and Jake had a yummy steak dinner. We then went back home and opened her presents and had cake. It was such a fun day! She kept telling me it was the best birthday ever.

Since it is her sixth birthday I wanted to give her six reasons why I love her.

Six Reasons I Love Makenna:

1. You always tell me you love me at least 50 times a day.
2. You love to go on girls night out with me and we always have so much fun.
3. You are quick to say sorry when you have done something she shouldn't have.
4. You are so smart and always try hard at everything you do.
5. You have the most beautiful blue eyes and long, dark eye lashes (I am so jealous).
6. You are such a sweet heart and love to be with me.

Happy Birthday Makenna! I just want you to know that I love you and am so grateful to have such and amazing daughter!

Happy 9th Birthday Brandon

I can't believe that my little boy is not so little any more and is now 9! It seems like just yesterday he was born and changed our lives forever. We love him so much. He is such a wonderful son and brother. Since you are 9 today I want to write 9 things that I love about you.

9 Things I Love About Brandon:

1. You are so kind and considerate of others and their feelings.
2. You are always so willing to help anyone with anything. You are always serving others just like dad.
3. You love to be outside riding your bike and having fun in the summer. In the winter you love to ski and are really good. You definately show me up!
4. You give great hugs.
5. I love it when you surpise me with kisses because I know that you don't give them out very freely. I am so lucky when you do give kisses to me.
6. You make friends easily because you are so nice to other people.
7. You are so handsome. I have told you that since the day you were born. You have always been such a cute kid. (That is one reason why all the girls at school love you!)
8. You are an amazing hiker. I can't believe that you hiked all the way up to Delicate Arch with a backpack full of water bottles and did not complain once. You are definately a tough kid!
9. You are my son! I am the luckiest mom in the world. Thanks for being such a great kid!

I Finaly Did It!

After many months of wanting to start a blog, I have finally entered the Blogger world. I love reading other peoples blogs and thought why not. This is a great way to keep a journal of all the many exciting things we are doing as a family.
